About Us

Transforming Lives With Faith

On April 23, 1908, the Pleasant Prairie Classis of the Reformed Church of America approved the organization of the First Reformed Church in Aplington. Our building was purchased in 1910 for $850 and was given a thorough renovation. The church began to grow and became self-supporting in 1916. In the 1960s the church was completely remodeled and an addition was constructed.

It was during this renovation that the church entrance was changed; sanctuary was rearranged and a new kitchen, fellowship hall, bathrooms, Sunday School rooms, pastor’s study etc. were added. The dedication of the building was held on October 11, 1964. A pipe organ was purchased in 1973. From there many other updates were made to keep up with the times. In 2022, after prayerful consideration, it was discerned by our congregation to take a step of faith and join the Alliance of Reformed Churches.
